I was on Facebook looking at a friend’s status stating that they had an assignment on their theories of why people do things. I offered my opinion and he informed me that they had to choose between 4 theories. I then got wondering to myself- what if their theory wasn’t one of the choices? I found it ridiculous that they were supposed to give THEIR opinion, but it had to be one of four. It almost seemed like walking up to a person and asking “What’s your favorite color? But you can only pick out of these ones”. High school helps us establish not only what we want to do in the future- but who we are. How are we supposed to figure out exactly who we are if our opinion is a 1:4 ratio? I just find that this assignment should be the student’s choice for their theory and not pre-chosen.

One thing that separates me from other people is that I am infatuated with dieselpunk culture. This subculture looks towards the 1920’s to the 1940’s. The people that know me can contest with this statement. I look back then, and I am jealous of those people. I know what you’re thinking- “why the hell would you be jealous of those people?” Well I will tell you- people showed respect to their elders, they were grateful for everything they had… A while ago I asked this one girl if she would want to go see a movie. Instead of POLITELY declining, she ignored me then brought up how awesome it was to see a guy that she’s been seeing. I know that you’re probably sitting there thinking that it’s only happened once. But no. It hasn’t. This has happened many times :/
